So, yeah, I’ll probably be waiting for the paperback version before I give myself the opportunity to read this one. Of course, I still have to finish The Confusion and The System of the World, and by the time I’m actually able to finish those, there will probably be a paperback of Anathem. Hooray for slow readers!

Hey, thanks for the link. I really enjoyed this book. For the record, I have no special claim to good judgment on the quality of books… I’m just an avid reader. Confusion and System of the World were good, too. What I loved about that series was the density and the attention to detail. What I didn’t like was that the details were so vivid it felt like I had to work really hard just to keep track of the plot. Anathem didn’t leave me with this feeling at all. It had all of the density and richness without leaving me wondering, “ok, really, what just ACTUALLY HAPPENED?”
